This international recognition, decided by a jury of media professionals, leading designers, academics and industry experts, underlines Quntis’ ongoing focus on lighting design, ergonomics and the modern desktop experience.

This award‑winning design began with a simple question: what if a desk lamp didn’t sit on the desk at all, but flowed naturally from the curve of the monitor instead? As part of the Quntis IM series, this curved monitor light bar turns that idea into a clean, integrated lighting solution for modern work, gaming and creative setups, with comfort for the eyes at the heart of the concept. The light balances output, glare control and adjustable color temperature to support everything from focused work to relaxed entertainment and late‑night reading.

Technical and Design Research

During the development of the Quntis Curved Monitor Light Bar IM series, our team focused on two core ideas: lighting that puts eye comfort first, and lighting that helps “declutter” the modern desk.

To bring those ideas to life, we tested the lamps on real flat and curved monitor setups, paying close attention to how people actually work, play and create in front of their screens every day.  Our designers looked at research on office lighting levels, color temperature and visual fatigue, and paired that with on‑desk experiments that compared different lamp forms and mounting positions.

We paid particular attention to long computer sessions—how to keep the eyes comfortable, how to reduce glare on the screen, and how to keep both the visual and physical footprint on the desk as light as possible.

Along the way, one of the biggest challenges was creating a slim, clean silhouette that could still adapt confidently to different monitor sizes and curvatures. Our team went through many rounds of refinement on the clamp geometry, hinge design and internal counterweights, fine‑tuning the mechanism so the light bar stays level and stable across a wide range of monitor setups.

All of this structural work was developed hand‑in‑hand with our ideas around wireless control and multi‑light linking, so the hardware can naturally support more complex, multi‑screen desk layouts.

We start from the desk itself, observing how people truly set up and use their workspaces, then integrate asymmetric optics, high color rendering, flexible dimming, intelligent sensing, and compact design into a unified system.

The goal is to create a layered, unified lighting experience that works just as well with flat displays as it does with curved monitors.

Made for Curved and Ultra‑Wide Monitors

Building on that philosophy, the Quntis Curved Monitor Light Bar IM 66 cm (26 inch) Black is designed specifically for curved and ultra‑wide displays, mounting on the top edge so the light feels like a natural extension of the screen rather than another object on the desk.

It provides smooth, even illumination while cutting down on glare and visual clutter around the display.

A patented three‑segment clamp with internal counterweights keeps the profile slim but stable, and is shaped to stay clear of the active screen area and top‑mounted webcams.

High‑CRI, Eye‑Friendly Illumination

To support long hours in front of the screen, the light bar uses high‑CRI LEDs (Ra > 98) that deliver natural, accurate color rendering, while providing around 1400 lux at the center of the desk for a bright, clear working area.

With a color temperature range of 3000K to 6500K, the light shifts seamlessly from a warm, cosy glow to a cooler, more focused tone, adapting easily to work, creation, gaming or relaxation.

Intelligent Sensing and Ambient Backlight

On the sensing side, an ambient light sensor automatically adjusts brightness as the room gets darker or brighter, keeping the desk comfortably lit without constant manual adjustment.

On the back, RGB ambient lighting softly washes the wall behind the monitor, adding depth and atmosphere for gaming, films and creative work without distracting from the screen.

Wireless Control and Multi‑Light Pairing

Tying the experience together is a compact wireless desktop controller that serves as the main control point: a quick tap turns the front light or backlight on/off, while a simple twist adjusts brightness, color temperature, or toggles auto‑dimming—intuitive and effortless.

Beyond single‑lamp control, the controller pairs with multiple light bars, syncing brightness, color temperature and ambient effects across dual-monitor or multi-monitor setups for a unified lighting experience.

Once paired, it manages task lighting, RGB ambience and auto‑dimming across all connected bars simultaneously, creating a cohesive setup while keeping the desk clean and uncluttered.
