The colors are bright without being harsh, and the eagle design has more detail than I expected. It instantly became the focal point of my game room.
I do enjoy these multi colored lights. They are bright and require less than 5 hours of sun light to make through the whole night. Quite easy to setup too.
I ordered these Quntis Solar Pathway Lights to use at our camp as pathway markers in a location where wired lighting isn't an option. After receiving and trying them here at home, I’m very happy with what I’ve received. It’s important to note that these may not work very well, or at all, straight out of the box. Being solar-powered, these will require a couple of days of exposure to full sun and even longer under cloudy or partial-sun conditions to fully charge the batteries. Even then, the manufacturers state that it will take 6 to 8 cycles of fully charging and fully discharging the batteries before they reach their maximum capacity. Once fully charged, the light generated is much brighter and, of course, lasts much longer. Regardless of charge level, the colour temperature remains the same (warm) but can be seen from further away and lights up a wider area of ground. It will be normal for some lights to outperform others if their exposure to sunlight varies from location to location. Swapping lights from high exposure to low exposure locations can help balance that out, and in cases where direct sunlight is impossible, such as under tree cover or structures, you may need to have additional lights that can be left in the sun to charge and then moved and used until discharged and swapped out with the ones that were left in full sun. I expect that I will have to do this for the lights I intend to use along a heavily forested trail. The lights are tall, slim, and modern-looking, with their hourglass form, and I especially like the multiple lighting modes. There are three modes in which the lights appear to move: individual LEDs turn on and off in a particular sequence, and a solid, always-on mode. If these lights prove durable and continue to work over time, I will purchase more, as I think they are a good value and, despite being much improved over the originals of yesteryear, the price remains similar to what those lesser ones cost back then. For my use, they’re almost free compared to installing wired lighting, and their light output is superior to that of battery-operated string lights.
The QUNTIS brand 4-pack of solar pathway lights provides a low-level ambiance, enhancing the lighting of various outdoor landscape settings. The lights are simple yet attractive in design, construction, execution, and installation.
This reviewer already owns dozens of solar landscaping products used at their tree farm home, but the lights being reviewed are among the smallest of their kind seen so far. They stand approximately 15 inches above the ground, with a 3-inch diameter fixture.
Initial considerations included how these lights would fit in for someone with a collection of gnomes in their garden, or some other application where the miniature size would be suitable for the surrounding environment. These lights could also work well in compact environments such as balconies, small courtyards, campsites, etc.
From a technical standpoint, the lights are made of very lightweight ABS plastic and are IP44 waterproof. We would have preferred a higher waterproof rating, as previous experience with solar lighting failures has been primarily caused by moisture leaks and damage to the solar panel and battery area.
This will be the first set of this style of lighting we've used that offers a choice of four dynamic lighting modes: water droplet, flowing, breathing, and static. The settings could have an interesting visual impact in the appropriate garden landscape.
The designers have incorporated the latest COB lighting technology into these fixtures with a unique hourglass design and a double-sided fixture that evenly disperses light in a 360° arc. The warm white light produced is pleasantly more amber-toned than most similar lights.
The top cover of the light fixture houses all the operating components, including a small solar panel on the top, a medium-sized 500mAh battery inside that should last 15 to 20 hours between charges, and the LED bulb on the underside. The unit is easily moved for access, as there are no screws, threads, or other obstructions.
The lights are very easy to assemble and prepare for use. They simply snap together without the need for tools. Special care should be taken when inserting these fixtures into the ground, as they can break easily if not held upright or pushed down from the top of the unit during installation.
Obviously, these fixtures are not designed for winter use, especially in areas where snow accumulation could soon cover and obscure them.
The verdict:
The QUNTIS brand 4-pack of solar-powered pathway lights provides a dynamic, low-level ambiance, enhancing the lighting of various outdoor landscapes. It receives an overall product rating of 4/5.
Great light - love that it is color adjustable for the light output, as well as the temperature of the light - I like it "warmer" - has worked very well for a long time now -
Honestly way cooler than I expected! Turned it on in the dark and the vibe was instantly unmatched. If you're a Bulls fan, just get it
I was stunned the moment I opened it; the craftsmanship is exquisite—truly a work of art. It was well worth the purchase for the love of it.
I bought the warm white version for my wooden deck stairs. These lights are incredibly solid. The alloy casing gives them a heavy, premium feel, miles better than the flimsy plastic ones. They get stepped on daily and don't flex at all.
I went with the cool white style to match our modern gray stucco walls. The light is clean and sharp, making our concrete driveway border look like a commercial runway at night. Very sleek modern look.
I was expecting cheap plastic, but these have a proper alloy casing. They feel heavy and very high quality. I placed them on the walkway where they get stepped on constantly, and they don't flex or bend at all.
I was hesitant to buy a light with 12 modes because I didn't want to reset them every night. Gladly, the memory function actually works. I set them to a steady warm white, and they turn on to that exact same setting every evening automatically.
We had a massive summer storm that completely flooded my garden path for hours. These warm white lights were completely submerged under water and still popped on at dusk without a single leak or fogging. Impressive alloy build.
These lights cast a really beautiful, clean pattern downward onto our fence panels. The warm white is soft and cozy, not that harsh bluish tint you get with cheap brands. Very satisfied with the daytime look too.
The color combination is awesome. The cool white is crisp and bright, and switching them to the blue mode gives our pool deck a high-end resort look at night. Much better than standard boring yellow lights.
These are tough little lights. I accidentally ran over the edge of one with my mountain bike and the alloy shell didn't even scratch. Very glad I bought the metal ones instead of plastic.
I have the cool white model installed on our dark stone steps. The visibility is excellent. Just a reminder for buyers to place them where they get direct midday sun; the one under my patio roof shade shuts off a bit earlier than the others.
The lights are great, but the solar panel is built into the top slope, so you need to make sure they get direct midday sun. I have one under a tree that dies around midnight, but the ones in full sun last until dawn.
I lined my side gate path with these. They are much brighter than my old stake lights and cover a wider area on the ground. It makes walking out to the trash cans at night feel much safer.
The cool white is very bright and makes finding the driveway edge easy. Just a tip: ensure they get full midday sun, because the one under my garage eave dies out a few hours earlier than the rest.
I ordered the warm white set and the color temperature is perfect—cozy and soft, like a high-end restaurant patio. I used outdoor construction adhesive to mount them onto my concrete borders and they look custom-built.
We used the RGB color-changing mode for a family barbecue last weekend and it completely changed the vibe of the backyard. The colors are vibrant and true, especially the blue and green shades.
The matte alloy finish looks very professional during the day. At night, the blue light mode adds a very clean, modern aesthetic to our concrete patio borders.
I was worried about my kids or guests tripping and breaking my path lights, but these metal ones are built like tanks. We have the warm white ones lining the deck path and everyone walks right over them with zero issues.
It’s really nice being able to choose between warm white, cool white, and daylight. I ended up setting them to warm white to match my porch string lights, but having the options on one device is super convenient if I ever change my mind.
