These are Battery Powered

I didn't read the listing properly and didn't see that they are battery powered. The 3 AA batteries don' t last through a night so you have to be picky when you want to display your awesome beautiful multi-colored stars. I only turn them on for special guests so you know you have been chosen if the lights are on.

Twinkle, twinkle little stars so bright

Sometimes it's just the little things that bring your heart a little burst of joy or fill you with wonder like when you were a kid, even if for just a few seconds. In the right setting (in a dark room, at night), that could definitely be these little string lights. It was for me. The lights come on a thick, clear wire with plastic hooks at the end and metal hooks on sticky squares to hang them on. I don't trust adhesives and used small screw-in mug-holder hooks, which work just fine.

The best things about these lights: (1) They're bright and the colors are clear; (2) they can show color and clear at the same time; (3) the clear is a soft white with a hint of yellow (not quite candlelight-y but a still a nice glow); (4) plenty of functions, though the slow fade seems too fast and sudden. It's about a 4-count fade when optimal might be 8 or 10. I found the flashing color-to-white to be a nice alternative, as with the quickness of the "slow" fade, you might as well get to enjoy both colors at once; (5) the automatic timer is awesome! Just don't forget that the lights have this feature or you'll be alarmed to find them off after 6 hours.

The one thing to fix in a perfect world: The aforementioned "slow-not-slow" fade. But this is only an issue for fans of slow fade. Also, be aware that in daylight, the wires in the stars will show. If this bothers you, draping a garland overhead could be a good way to divert your eye. The stars do have a crystalline texture to them, and playing around with the positioning helps, too.

At about $25 as of this writing, they seem a touch pricy: more nursery/garden center price than big box, for use. You can certainly find others cheaper, but if you can afford not to take a chance on any differences in quality or would simply prefer not to, these are nice for the price.

They’re alright

It’s a pretty basic light set. They are battery powered so they can be used anywhere. The strand does come with hooks that aren’t removable, which is fine if you want to hang them on a curtain rod but the hook is a bit small to fit on my curtain rods. They do come with a decent amount of adhesive hooks that can be applied anywhere. I’d probably skip the hooks that were included and use command hoods instead. I do like that the battery case has the different light modes listed. I do prefer the white lights mode as opposed to the colored version.

So Pretty!

This star lit curtain is absolutely gorgeous and has added another element of holiday cheer to our home.
First, let me say that the sticky hooks are no joke! These are probably going to require a bit of work when it comes time to take them down as the adhesion is strong! I probably wouldn't stick them on a painted wall for fear of paint coming off with them. They went on a window that needed some cheer, and the stars hang behind a white see through curtain.
The remote has options to change between white or multicolored or combo as well as different modes. I preferred the combo, fully lit. Be advised, you will need 3 AA's.

So cute for the holidays!

These little lights are awesome! They are curtain lights, so there is a built in plastic hook at the end of the each strand that contains a star, which makes it easy to hang. The seller also included adhesive hooks to help you hang it up. These lights are battery operated and take 3 AA batteries. There are multiple color and flash modes for you to choose from: solid warm white, solid multicolor, fade in (both colors), sparkle flash (both colors), and the option to go from white to multi color in fade or blinking mode. My one disappointment with these lights is that there is not a timer on these, so you will have to manually turn them off. As a result, one could go through a lot of batteries in a holiday season with these. I am putting them on my mantle over the fireplace so that I can remember to turn them off in the evenings, but overall, I love them and find them so fun!
